Frequently Asked Question: CLIENTS

How much will General Post Cost me?

Nothing, our crew pay for the service.  There are no costs to the client, no booking fees, no other fees.  The crew members rate is all you pay.  Simple!

How do I make a booking, How does it work? Once you have briefed us we search our database to find you the correct person or talent. You make your choice and we send you a booking sheet (deal memo). Once you are happy with the booking and ready to confirm you return the booking sheet to us - signed in acceptance of our terms and conditions (the ground rules). We arrange for the crew member to be at your set, office or facility when you need them and they perform the work under your supervision. When the job is finished your production team contact us with the times and we bill you. You pay. That simple.

What are the rates for talent and technicians and how are these decided?
Rates differ depending on Talent, experience, and demand. We can negotiate rates to suit your pocket. Rates are a market driven force that we do not control. We recomend and advise. During busy times the good people can (and sometimes do) charge more. When the workflow is less we could broker a better deal with the same person who was expensive before.

Why are Freelancers so expensive? Their rates vary from one to another due to demand, skill and experience. Experience is also a factor. Bear in mind they have to provide their own medical, insurance and pension plans. They have no job security and have to provide for their own lean times. As freelancers they do not have access to any corporate perks.

How many members, freelancers have you got?
General Post has ample talent on the books. if we dont have the right person for you we'll find them. The service and our database grows almost daily. We represent many levels of experience and we are still growing.

What happens if the freelancer gets incapacitated?
This rare occurrence is dealt with as it happens and a replacement may have to be sought, depending on the deadline and nature of the problem itself. General Post will be able to quickly replace the freelancer with another of your choice. Replacement staff will be billed as booked.
