Costume Designer / Stylist / Costume Assistant
Personal Statement: I am self-motivated, enthusiastic and enjoy a challenge, and able to manage work effectively and efficiently and love researching ideas for costumes. I am able to work well on my own and equally well within a team. I am experienced at managing my own accounts. I have worked for various productions (film and drama and light entertainment) as costume assistant and stylist for the BBC Granada Television, 3 Sixty, Channel 4, E4, and Red Productions and others. I had the opportunity to costume design two short films one for La Productions (90 Seconds) for cinema, which one best short film and the other Bro 9. I have also worked for Advertising Companies and photo shoots as the Stylist.
Training
2005: I recently won the Nes Scholarship at Manchester University to study business and marketing and I have now completed the course, which has given me the understanding of how to set up and run my own business and how to market it., I have also gained basic IT skills to.
2002: I completed a evening textile course where I studied Dressmaking: Speed Tailor and received 2 Credits at level two, where I was trained to cut from a pattern, and working with fabrics that go to make a tailored suit.
1996: I did a NVQ in photography which took me two years to complete were I learnt how to process and print in different formats, I went on to do work experience at the Voice Newspaper were I would go out with there journalist and I would take the pictures, but I ended up getting offered work as one of there photo journalist which I did for about a year.
