Overview

Began work in London 1996, principally within music videos and broadcast television. Started from the floorboards up and gained experience in various production roles: set runner, in-house production assistant, location scout, 3rd Ad, 2nd Ad, production co-ordinator.
Relocated to the North West in 2001 and carried on freelance work mainly as a location manager and 1st AD.
Throughout my career I've had the opportunity to work in all of the moving images genres: Broadcast, Feature film, Commercials, Corporate, Music promos and Short film.
Through these various disciplines I've gained a strong technical knowledge of all departments, which has given me the ability to plan and schedule shoots in a realistic and practical manner with the experience to see problems before they arise and the logistical know-how in which to overcome them.
Having worked with a multitude of directors I can adapt to fit most personalities and styles. I'm comfortable running the floor to a tight schedule, able to think quickly on my feet in order to keep a job moving, whilst working creatively with the director to find the best aesthetic possible.
I believe that detailed preparation, clear communication, support of the director's vision and encouragement of the crew's talents is the key to a successful production.
